Ash is incredibly passionate in teaching application security, priding himself in creating an engaging learning environment for his students. Ash’s preference for practical lessons enables students to truly harness their analytical thinking, curiosity and creative problem solving.

Having lead numerous real-world pen tests against critical infrastructure, web and mobile applications across large enterprise and government organisations, Ash knows the industry well.

He’s currently involved in research programmes (‘bug bounties’) such as ZDI and Hackerone. He has published security advisories for products such as Foxit Reader, Panda Security Antivirus, LAquis SCADA… and retains numerous certifications including GIAC network forensic analyst, GIAC certified forensic analyst, eWPT eLearnSecurity Web Application Pen Tester, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), ISO 270001 lead implementer-ISMS and a few more.

Ash completed his Bachelors in Computer Software Engineering and was a developer for five years before entering the world of cyber security in 2007, where he first specialised in application security.
